What is the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period?
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs October 15 through December 7 each year. Anyone with Medicare can join, switch, or drop a Medicare Advantage plan or Part D plan. Changes take effect January 1. Does NOT apply to Medicare Supplement plans — Medigap has its own enrollment rules.
