The Turning Point
A Father, a Son, and the Moment Everything Changed
Brandon Todd grew up in the insurance business. His father Frank - a U.S. Army Green Beret who entered the industry because it let him be home for Brandon's baseball games - built his career the same way he'd built everything else: one family at a time, sitting across kitchen tables, giving people straight answers.
Together they built something real. Over 30 years and 400,000 clients. Patient advocacy work that put more than $1 billion in medications into the hands of Americans who couldn't afford them. The first-ever online Medicare agency - a model the rest of the industry eventually followed. Technology that still stands today as the most robust consumer and agent comparison platform in the business.
Frank Todd passed away in 2023.
In the months that followed, Brandon watched what was happening to the industry his father had spent his life in. Government-controlled healthcare. Lobbyist-written plans that confused consumers and enriched carriers. An industry that had drifted so far from the people it was supposed to serve that most Americans didn't even know they had options.
He decided to build the agency the industry should have had all along. In 2024, he founded Patriot Plans.
